*Produzco textos sencillos con diferentes funciones (describir, narrar, argumentar) sobre temas personales y relacionados con otras asignaturas.

* Expreso mi opinión sobre asuntos de interés general para mí y mis compañeros.

*Daily activities: Greetings and call the row.
Warm up: The facilitator shows a series of flashcards related to musical instruments (12); learners make draws  write down the name, and a sentence containing and adjective describing the instrument; the facilitator gives vocabulary and structures.
*Listening/Writing: Learners listen to a mp3 instrumental file containing different types of music, learners complete sentences resolving around brief descriptions of the instruments required for the different types of music;” the classic music involves; piano and violin, I don’t like classic music, but I like rock.
*Writing/speaking/reading: Learners review months  of the year, and dates in  this exercise; learners receive coded dates related to the creation of certain musical instrument; learners turn the code “01/01 1988” into a written date “January the first” and a short sentence “ the violin was invented in”, after learners complete the first activity.
Reading/writing: In groups learners review past tenses by creating the biography of a fictional musician; his past experiences. The instruments he played and the type of music . learners give this task in a piece of paper by the end of the class.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND TYPES OF MUSIC
(Dates and Time expressions)

This week learners will acquire vocabulary about Instruments and Time expressions in order to; write down important dates, describing the diferent types of music, and giving opinions about their favorite music.

Activity # 1: Write the vocabulary and make draws.


 

Activity#2: In class learners will listen to mp3 tracks of diferent types of  music, they must identify the type of music create and opinion using these expressions; it's interesting!, it's boring, it's exiting, it has rythm, it is catchy!, it has a good melody!, etc.

Example:
1) Identify the type of music of this song.

Reggae
Hip-hop
Rock
Metal
Classic
Disco
Pop

 2) Give your opinion of the type of music; remember: it's interesting!, it's boring, it's exiting, it has rythm, it is catchy!, it has a good melody!, etc.

3) What instrumets do you use for this music?

 Activity#3: Here are some dates regarding the invention of an instrument, write down the date based on the code.

 The learners will solve 8 exercises, the must include a draw for every exercise.

  Activity#4: Learners create a biography of a fictional musician by using the patterns given by the teacher; they must give this work to the teacher in a piece of paper.

He is very skill full in Rock music, the name of his first song was "You only live once", the name of his band was "The megatones"
