Ancient Rome: Ancient Rome was a civilization that existed in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East between 753 BC and its downfall in AD 476. For several centuries, the Romans controlled the whole of Western Europe, as well as the entire area surrounding the Mediterranean Sea and some of the area surrounding the Black Sea. Religion in ancient Rome combined several different cult practices and embraced more than a single set of beliefs. The main Roman currency during most of the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire consisted of coins including: the aureus.




Ancient Egypt refers to the civilization of the Nile Valley between about 3000 BC and the conquest of Egypt by Alexander the Great in 332 BC. The depth of Egyptian religion and the rich imagination displayed in the creation of ideas and images of the gods and goddesses. Some images of ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses showed them as if they were humans. Ancient Egyptian society used different forms of money before using coinage in the first millennium B.C. The Egyptians used non-coin forms of silver and gold currency, such as silver rings and gold pieces shaped like sheep,




Ancient Aztec: The Aztecs are a Mesoamerican people of central Mexico tribe with a rich mythology and cultural heritage. Aztec religion is the Mesoamerican religion practiced by the Aztec empire. Like other Mesoamerican religions, it had elements of human sacrifice in connection with a large number of religious festivals which were held according to patterns of the Aztec calendar. We don't know when cacao beans began to be used as money in ancient Mexico, but we do know they were widely used as money in Aztec times.
