The Imperative
The imperative: is a grammatical mood that forms commands or
requests, including the giving of prohibition or permission, or any
other kind of advice or exhortation.
1:When you're feeling bossy you can use the imperative.
EXAMPLES:
Come in!
Shut that door.
Turn that computer off now!
Shut that door.

2: You can also tell people not to do something.
EXAMPLES:
Don't eat that gummy bear!
3:This can all seem a bit rude really, so you can soften the command:-
EXAMPLES:
Please, come in.
